Installation Crew Leader:

Summary:
The Crew Leader will manage an installation (construction) crew that will travel the United States installing geosynthetic liner, hydroturf and underground stormwater detention systems. The Crew Leader will promote work-site safety, provide excellent customer service, and exhibit pride and quality workmanship.
Essential Duties:
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
Organize, direct, oversee and participate in work performed by the crew. This is a hands-on position and requires this person to work along-side the crew.
Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines without sacrificing excellent quality and great customer service.
Assist the project team in forecasting equipment, labor and material needs to ensure efficient production when needed. Complete project documentation in an organized and timely manner utilizing service management platform.
Maintain strong relationships and effective lines of communication with customers, site contractors and all partners involved in the job or project.
Assist with teaching and training team members to ensure proper procedures and processes are followed and ensure quality of work is achieved.
Maintain a clean job site, an orderly and stocked equipment trailer and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles.
Attend training classes, seminars and achieve certifications as needed to fulfill role and develop professionally.
Manages job and team to ensure the work conforms to specifications, budget and schedule.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Travel for extended periods, as necessary (up to 100% of the time 4-9 months out of the year)
Be available to work overtime, nights and weekends when necessary.
Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines.
Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.
Ability to think proactively, plan ahead and problem solve with the team minimizing disruption, errors, risks and keeping project on-task, within budget and on-time.
Previous project management experience organizing and managing construction or stormwater projects from inception to completion preferred.
Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft’s Office suite of products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
This position requires physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance working in an open, outdoor environment. The applicant must be physically fit and able to perform labor required of the job including the ability to:
Lift and carry 25-50 pounds regularly.
Hear and respond quickly to sounds or alerts.
Have dexterity sufficient to move safely over uneven or sloped terrain while maintaining balance.
See and respond to dangerous situations – and take necessary action to ensure a safe workplace.
Work safely in extreme weather (hot & cold).
Wear personal protective gear correctly most of the workday.
Stand or stoop for extended periods of time.
Apply physical strength (pulling/pushing by hand) while deploying liner and other materials.
Obtain, and keep in good standing, a valid driver’s license and drive a pickup truck while pulling a trailer.
Ability to operate and be certified as an equipment operator for heavy equipment, including but not limited to, high reach forklift and skid steer loader.
Licenses/Certifications:Valid drivers license (required)
CDL (a plus)
Operator certification (a plus)
Work permit (if non-US citizen)
